The Original Patented MCM excels in water-resistant performance. Its advanced formulation ensures the material repels water effectively, preventing moisture absorption that could otherwise lead to damage. Whether exposed to rain, humidity, or direct water contact, MCM coverings maintain their structural integrity and aesthetic appeal over time. This durability makes MCM a reliable and low-maintenance solution for challenging environments, delivering both functionality and modern design excellence.

Impact and Abrasion Resistance.png

MCM is a diffusion-open material, meaning it is permeable to air and vapor, and is crafted from natural components. With water absorption levels ranging from 8–14% and high vapor permeability (comparable to traditional clay), MCM enhances indoor comfort by regulating interior humidity levels. When applied to facades in a diffusion-open insulation "sandwich," it effectively removes excess moisture, promoting a healthy living environment and extending the lifespan of both the building structure and its occupants' well-being. In contrast, ceramic tiles serve different applications and typically have water absorption rates between 0.1–3%, paired with extremely low air permeability, making them less effective in managing interior humidity。

MCM’s micro‑porous mineral structure, derived from ultra‑fine modified clay and high‑surface‑area mineral powders, provides extensive adsorption capacity for harmful pollutants such as formaldehyde, benzene, and bacteria. When activated by natural or artificial light, its engineered photocatalytic surface initiates the continuous generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which decompose adsorbed pollutants into harmless water and carbon dioxide. This light‑driven photocatalytic mechanism is a core feature of MCM, ensuring durable air purification and antibacterial performance that contributes to healthier indoor environments for years.

MCM’s unique micro‑porous structure enhances its ability to adsorb airborne pollutants and support catalytic breakdown. When exposed to ultraviolet or visible light, the material’s high surface area and pore network activate photocatalytic reactions that generate reactive oxygen species (ROS). These ROS actively degrade volatile organic compounds (VOCs), bacteria, and odors, converting them into harmless compounds such as water and carbon dioxide. This light‑activated purification process is a fundamental characteristic of MCM, delivering continuous pollution reduction in illuminated environments.

Original Patented MCM features advanced bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties, actively eliminating bacteria upon contact with its surface to ensure a hygienic indoor environment. Its sterilizing function remains effective even in complete darkness, thanks to embedded variable‑valence ions that continuously release reactive oxygen species (ROS). This enables round‑the‑clock odor neutralization and microbial control, making MCM ideal for enclosed or low‑light spaces. (This antibacterial function is available in MCM variants formulated with non‑UV activation, offered as an optional feature depending on application requirements.)

MCM covering regulates indoor humidity through its natural clay matrix, which absorbs and releases moisture more efficiently than conventional building materials. This dynamic moisture exchange helps maintain relative humidity (RH) between 40% and 70%, a range shown to minimize the survival of airborne infectious bacteria and viruses (Arundel, A.V., 1986). By stabilizing RH within this optimal zone, MCM contributes to healthier indoor conditions, reduces risks of microbial growth, and supports respiratory comfort in tropical humid climates.

MCM is inherently breathable due to its natural clay composition and advanced manufacturing process. Its micro‑porous structure allows efficient moisture exchange, helping to balance indoor humidity levels while simultaneously trapping and neutralizing odors and harmful substances such as formaldehyde. This breathability not only supports healthier indoor air quality but also enhances comfort, making MCM an eco‑friendly and reliable solution for interior applications.

Breathability 1.png

MCM’s advanced clay absorption properties provide exceptional moisture resistance, ensuring consistently dry and comfortable indoor environments even in highly humid conditions. Unlike conventional materials that can trap dampness, MCM coverings actively prevent moisture buildup, reducing the risk of mold growth and surface deterioration. This resilience makes MCM particularly well‑suited for tropical regions such as Southeast Asia, where year‑round humidity challenges indoor comfort. By keeping interiors fresh, cool, and durable, MCM redefines indoor living with practicality and long‑term reliability.

MCM products boast an extremely high hardness, with a Mohs hardness rating of 6. This attribute endows them with excellent wear and scratch resistance, capable of withstanding direct tests with strong impacts on surfaces without easily deforming. This makes MCM not only the best choice for residential use but also a popular option in commercial settings with high foot traffic, ensuring durability and maintaining an impeccable appearance over time.

Superior Hardness.png

Beyond surface hardness, MCM coverings are engineered for exceptional impact and abrasion resistance. Their flexible composition allows bending up to 60 degrees without cracking, enabling the material to absorb shocks that would fracture conventional tiles. Tested to endure impact forces up to 100 times greater than ceramic finishes, MCM maintains structural integrity even in demanding environments. This resilience makes it a reliable choice for areas exposed to heavy use, accidental knocks, or mechanical stress.

MCM coverings are engineered with strong stain‑repellent properties, maintaining a clean and pristine appearance with minimal effort. Achieving a Class 2 stain resistance rating on textured surfaces under ISO 10545‑14 standards, MCM effectively resists common household and commercial stains. Liquids and dirt are less likely to penetrate the surface, allowing easy cleaning with water or mild solutions. This reliable stain resistance ensures long‑term aesthetics and reduces maintenance requirements in both residential and high‑traffic commercial settings.

The surface of Original Patented MCM is engineered with super‑hydrophilic properties that enable a natural self‑cleaning effect. When exposed to rainwater or washing, the surface forms a thin water film that prevents dirt particles from adhering. Instead of accumulating, dust and contaminants are lifted and rinsed away, keeping the material clean with minimal maintenance. This self‑cleaning function ensures MCM retains its aesthetic appeal and reduces the need for frequent manual cleaning, especially in exterior facade applications.

MCM surfaces also feature a subtle static‑electricity effect that enhances their self‑cleaning performance. This electrostatic property reduces the adhesion of dust and fine particles, preventing buildup on exterior surfaces. When exposed to rainwater, dirt is easily washed away, unlike conventional ceramic tiles that tend to attract and retain contaminants. This dual‑action mechanism ensures MCM façades remain cleaner for longer, reducing maintenance costs and preserving aesthetic appeal in outdoor applications.
